The department of Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications (MARC) sits within Academic Services, which is part of the University's Professional Services.

Our teams are collectively responsible for:

  • External engagement and reputation strategies for the University.
  • Ensuring the best possible prospective student experience at every touch point throughout
    the student recruitment funnel.
  • Ensuring all students have the best possible access to education including those from the
    most disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Delivery of core, central recruitment and admissions activities (such as processing and
    providing support for applications, open days and events, generating leads, working with
    schools and colleges, delivering clearing and confirmation).
  • Faculty support (including provision of market intelligence, support for new course
    development, recruitment and marketing and events delivery).
  • Marketing all aspects of the University including reputation, student recruitment, research,
    partnerships and innovation, talent attraction including ownership of the University brand.
  • Delivery of Graduation and corporate events.
  • Market Insight and research.
  • PR and Media.
  • Internal communications for staff and current students.

This new service brings together the former Corporate Communications and Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions departments.
