PhD applications and our admissions policy

Before you apply, read about how to write a research proposal.
The Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education (YCEDE) has launched its Advocacy Scheme which aims to to help UK Black, Asian and minority ethnic students navigate the PhD application process and prepare them to make a high quality application.
Entry requirements
All applicants wishing to commence PhD studies with the iSchool are normally required to have a strong masters degree, with an overall grade of 60% from a UK institution (or equivalent from an overseas institution).
However, the school will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis, including candidates with at least two years' work experience in a relevant field.
We would also strongly advise such applicants to have already identified the potential supervisor(s) and have had an initial discussion of their research topic.
